Army Spc. Solomon C. Bangayan Army Spc. Solomon C. Bangayan, 24, of Jay, Vermont. Bangayan died in Baghdad, Iraq, when his convoy was ambushed by the enemy who used an improvised explosive device, small arms fire, and a rocket-propelled grenade. He was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on January 2, 2004.	Army Spec. Alan N. Bean Jr. Army Spc. Alan N. Bean, Jr., 22, of Bridport, Vermont. Bean died in Forward Operating Base Kalsu (Iskandariyah, Iraq,) when his unit came under mortar attack. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 86th Field Artillery, based in Williston, Vermont. Died on May 25, 2004.

Benson.  Age 40.  1st Battalion, 314th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade, 78th Div.  Winona MN.  Died of wounds sustained on August 2nd when a car bomb struck his convoy in Baghdad, Iraq.  Died on August 10, 2005.	Master Sgt. Chris S. Chapin Master Sgt. Chris S. Chapin.  Age 39. 2nd Battalion General Studies), 124th Regiment (Regional Training Institute), Vermont National Guard. Proctor, VT.  Killed when  he was attacked by enemy forces using small arms fire  during combat operations in Ramadi Iraq.  Died on August 23, 2005
Sgt. Carlton A. Clark Sgt. Carlton A. Clark, Age 22, Sharon, VT.  2nd Brigade Troop Battalion, 2nd Brigade combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) from Fort Campbell.  Killed when his vehicle was hit by an improvised bomb in Baghdad.  Died on August 9, 2006	Lance Cpl. Kurt Dechen Lance Cpt. Kurt Dechen, Age 24., Springfield, VT.  1st Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Div, attached to Regimental Combat Team 5, I Marine Expeditionary Force.  Died of wounds received in combat in Anbar Province.  Died August 3, 2006.
Marine Cpl. Christopher Degiovine Marine Cpl Christopher DeGiovine, 25 of Essex Jct. VT, was killed while conducting operations in Anbar Province, Iraq.  DeGiovine was assigned to 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division.  Died april 26, 2007	1st Lt. Mark H. Dooley 1st Lt. Mark H. Dooley, of Wallkill NY, was killed in Iraw when a roadside bomb detonated near his patrol operations in Ar Ramadi. Dooley was a member of the 3rd Battalion, 172nd Infantry Regiment (Mountian), 42nd Infantry Division, VT Army National Guard.  Killed: September 19, 2005
Marine Cpl. Mark A. Evnin Marine Cpl. Mark A. Evnin, 21, of Burlington, Vermont.  Killed in action during a firefight in Central Iraq. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, Twentynine Palms, California. Died on April 3, 2003.	Sgt. Justin W. Garvey Sgt. Justin W. Garvey, 23, 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Townsend, Massachusetts was killed when his vehicle was ambushed and struck by rocket-propelled grenades while on patrol in Tallifar, Iraq.  Died on July 20, 2003.

Gilbert was assigned to C Company, 2nd Battalion, 325th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Died on August 6, 2003.	Spc. Christopher D. Gelineau Spc. Gelineau, 23, 133rd Engineer Battalion, Maine Army National Guard Portland, Maine, was killed when his vehicle hit an improvised explosive device in Mosul, Iraq.  Died on April 20, 2004

He was assigned to Army National Guard's Headquarters, Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 86th Field Artillery, Williston, Vermont. Died on June 7, 2004.	Lt. Col. David S. Greene Lt. Col. David S. Greene.  Age 39.  Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 775, Marine Aircraft Group 16, 3rd Marine Air Wing.  Raleigh, NC.  Killed while providing cover and close-air support from his AH-1W Super Cobra attack Helicopter during the evacuation of critically injured Marines in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.  Died on July 28, 2004

He was assigned to Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division (Mechanized), Hunter Army. Died on April 2, 2003.	Marine Lance Cpt. Jeffery S. Holmes Marine Lance Cpl. Jeffery S. Holmes, 20, of White River Junction, Vermont.  Holmes died as a result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Died on November 25, 2004.

Battalion, Task Force Saber, Vermont National Guard, St. Albans, VT.  Died during surgery after being hit by a rocket-propelled grenade outside Ramadi, Iraq.  Died on January 25, 2006	Spc. Scott P. McLaughlin Army National Guard SPC. Scott P.  McLaughlin,  Of Hardwick, was killed in Iraq after a sniper's bullet pierced the seams of his body armor.  McLaughlin was a member of C Company, 1st Batallion of the 172nd Armored Regiment based in Morrisville.  Killed: September 22, 2005

Muller, 21, of Jonesville, VT; assigned to 1st Brigade Special Troops, 1st  Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Div.(Light Infantry), Fort Drum NY; killed when a makeshift bomb detonated near his Humvee during combat operations in Tal Al-Dahab.  Died on November 5, 2007
Sgt. William J. Normandy Sgt. William J. Normandy, 42, Service Battery, 1st Battalion, 86th Field Artillery Regiment, Vermont Army National Guard East Barre, Vermont died of an apparent heart attack shortly after a physical training exercise at Camp Virginia, Kuwait (north of Kuwait City).  Died on March 15, 2004	Army Capt. Pierre E. Piche Army Capt. Pierre E. Piche, 29, of Starksboro, Vermont. Piche died when two 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters crashed in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to the 626th Forward Support Battalion, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Died on November 15, 2003.

Sgt. 1st Class John T Stone Sgt. John Thomas Strong, Age 52.  Attached to Task    Force Catamount.  Stone died as a result of small arms fire while helping to train Afghan soldiers.  He was on his third tour of duty for the Vermont Army National Guards.  Died in Afghanistan on March 31, 2006	Lance Cpl Adam Strain Lance Cpl. Adam Strain, 20, Smartville, California. He died as a result of enemy small arms fire while conducting combat operations in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif.  His Mother and her family live in Vermont.(Forward). Died on August 3, 2005. .

Aberdeen, NC.  Killed when his convoy vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device and small arms fire near Tikrit, Iraq.  Died on October 8, 2004
